### **About the Role** We’re seeking a **Principal Security Engineer** with deep expertise in **application security, AI security,** and **security architecture** to join our growing security team. This role reports directly to the CISO. You’ll lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure systems across cloud platforms and modern application stacks — including AI-powered tooling — guiding both strategic security initiatives and day-to-day security engineering operations. This is a high-impact role that will shape the security posture of our platforms and development practices, working across engineering, DevOps, architecture, and compliance teams. ### **Responsibilities** **Core Security Engineering** - Design and implement secure architectures for applications, APIs, microservices, and containerized workloads. - Develop and enforce application security best practices across SDLC; partner with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. - Conduct threat modeling, security design reviews, and risk assessments for new and existing systems. - Evaluate and implement security tools, controls, and frameworks - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineers, software developers, and DevOps personnel. - Lead response to complex security incidents or architectural flaws; conduct root cause analysis and recommend strategic remediations. - Contribute to and influence security policies, standards, and governance. - Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, advising stakeholders on evolving risks and mitigations. **AI Security** - Own the AI security program, including risk frameworks, threat models, and governance policies for AI/ML systems and LLM integrations. - Review new AI tool features and model updates for security risks prior to adoption, covering prompt injection, data leakage, model poisoning, and supply chain threats. - Track and apply industry guidance from NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, and CISA; translate standards into actionable internal controls and secure configuration baselines. - Embed AI security reviews into the feature development lifecycle, including pre-deployment red-teaming and adversarial testing of AI-powered features. - Monitor AI regulatory developments and advise on security and compliance implications for the organisation.

If you should be passionate about your work and relentless about quality and automation, you will fit right in. **Duties and Responsibilities:** - Be a strong quality advocate, collaborating closely with software engineers, designers, and product managers, etc. to release life-changing products - Design and deliver risk-based test plans for new features and functionality, choosing the right method of testing for each situation or phase (scenario, exploratory, scripted, manual, automated, etc.) - Help ensure your vertical's releases adhere to deadlines while not compromising on quality - Pair with software engineers to identify coverage gaps, automate repeated tasks, and build regression test coverage through existing or new infrastructure - Be a reliable, friendly source of feedback on new functionality, features, and process changes - Awe your team by uncovering or better yet preventing corner case defects

**About the role** We’re looking for a seasoned designer to help build the next generation of products at Ethos. As part of a team, you’ll help set the bar for quality and impact for the team. You’ll work across a variety of products and experiences, including both: zero-to-one experiences where you operate in a fast-moving startup within a startup, and optimizing our core businesses where you drive meaningful gains to our bottom line. You’ll work on our Partnerships team, where you’ll help lead the strategy and execution to grow our business. You’ll explore and launch improvements to established agent journeys and explore wholly new business lines that will grow to contribute meaningfully to our overall revenue. **Duties and Responsibilities:** - Lead design strategy across multiple product units - Help set the vision for our overall user experience - Build new products and iterate on existing ones - Balance smaller projects with big bets that level up the overall product - Manage executive stakeholders across engineering, product, marketing, and more - Drive improvements to the product development process with cross functional partners - If Principal, mentor and lead the work of other designers - Actively participate and work to transition towards an AI-augmented product building model

**About the Role** We're looking for a curious, data-driven analyst who thrives at the intersection of product and analytics. You'll be a key thought partner to our product teams — turning complex data into clear decisions and advocating for our members through every insight you surface. **Duties & Responsibilities** - Champion a data-driven culture across product teams by setting standards for measurement, instrumentation, and insight communication - Partner closely with Product Managers to define feature success metrics, implement event tracking, build dashboards, and analyze A/B experiment results - Proactively conduct exploratory analyses and deep-dive research on large datasets to uncover high-impact opportunities in risk, fraud detection, and pricing - Serve as the go-to expert for product data — answering complex questions quickly and translating findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders and executives - Communicate not just what the data shows, but what it means — delivering recommendations with confidence to senior leadership - Advocate for our members by ensuring their needs are represented in every product decision informed by data
