### **Why you’ll love this role** We are looking for a motivated, highly enthusiastic, technical iOS engineer to join our Checkout and Payment Experience Team. This team is responsible for building the most critical, high impact and scalable checkout and payments platform. We own the entire buying experience on stockx.com, the StockX iOS app, and the StockX Android app. We take pride in building a seamless, easy-to-use experience for our buyers and have fun doing it. Our technical stack comprises various systems and services built on Amazon Web Services. We use GraphQL, GoLang, NodeJS, Swift, Kotlin, CircleCI, Kubernetes, Harness, Terraform, LaunchDarkly and Datadog. This is a great opportunity to leverage your existing skills, to build a world-class team and to have a huge impact on how marketplaces can be redefined. ### **What you’ll do** - Develop, test, and debug the StockX iOS app using Swift and UIKit - Build GraphQL APIs that interact with our backend services and REST APIs - Utilize MVVM architecture, design patterns, and best practices - Stay up-to-date with any technology changes including changes to the language (Swift), tools (Xcode, Mac OS, etc.), platform (iOS), and devices - Work on initiatives from start to finish including A/B testing - Work with product owners, internal stakeholders, program managers and engineering managers to crystallize ambiguous requirements and propose resilient technical solutions which scale to future business needs - Work with engineers in the team to take these proposed solutions and architect and design them - Efficiently break up large system designs and guide the junior team members in detailed component design. Help the team to implement, deploy and monitor systems and services - Propose and adopt best engineering practices and guide development standards - Foster a growth mindset culture. Be a team player. Participate in supporting your systems and services through any system upgrades, live site issues and others - Provide timely communication to stakeholders and users for resolving issues ### **About you** - 3+ years of relevant development experience - Good understanding of the iOS platform including common conventions - Experience with working in an Agile environment - Ability to document new features, additions, and bug fixes clearly - Ability to explain complex technical terms to non-technical users - Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into a technical solution - Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment - Experience working on cross-functional product teams preferred - Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. **Why you’ll love this role** You’ll join StockX’s collaborative Tax team, working closely with Accounting, Product, Data Engineering, Customer Support, and external advisors to support StockX’s growing global business. In this role, you’ll take on new challenges daily by analyzing transaction-level tax data,investigating Avalara and subledger variances, supporting indirect tax filings, following up on tax notices, and helping resolve data issues across systems. Your work will have a direct impact on the accuracy of StockX’s tax reporting, compliance readiness, audit support, and business decision-making. **What you’ll do** - Support indirect tax compliance and reporting by performing data reconciliations, validating transaction and filing data, investigating variances and system exceptions, maintaining issue tracking, and partnering with Tax, Accounting, Product, and Engineering teams to improve tax processes, reporting accuracy, system integrations, and data controls. - Monitor, review, and manage indirect tax exemption certificates across North America;identify process improvement opportunities and support the development of system enhancements. - Work closely with Data Engineering, Product, Accounting, and Tax team members to investigate root causes, validate data fixes, improve reporting logic, and strengthen tax data controls. - Support indirect tax filing preparation by organizing filing data, validating reports,reviewing filing workpapers, and identifying unusual changes or exceptions. - Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax compliance activities, including registrations, renewals, recurring tax forms, and other compliance tasks. - Coordinate tax payment support by preparing payment details, confirming amounts to supporting documents, and saving confirmations. - Maintain thorough tax records, including filing support, reconciliation workpapers, payment and filing confirmations, tax notices, audit support materials, and correspondence. - Monitor tax email accounts; triage, categorize, assign, track, and escalate items as needed. - Manage communications with taxing authorities on notices, account balances, filing status, payment application, registration status, audit inquiries, and other open matters. - Check taxing authority online portals for notices, account messages, filing confirmations, account balances, payment status, and required actions. **About you** - 4+ years of experience in tax data analysis, finance operations, tax system implementation, or a similar analytical role. - Proven ability to work with large datasets, reconcile data across multiple systems, identify variances, document findings, and communicate issues clearly to tax, finance,and IT stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. - Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple reconciliations, notices, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including comfort corresponding with taxing authorities, following up on notices, and documenting outcomes clearly **Nice to have skills** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. - Experience with U.S. sales and use tax, indirect tax, VAT/GST, Avalara or similar tax technology platforms, ERP/subledger systems, financial reporting tools, or tax engine data. - Familiarity with SQL, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, Databricks or similar data/reporting tools; experience working with Data Engineering or Product teams is a plus.
