About the Role

Self Ware is looking for a thoughtful UI Designer who cares deeply about craft, consistency, and clarity. You will own the visual language of our platform — from component libraries to pixel-perfect interfaces that guide users through a deeply personal journey of self-discovery. This role is for someone who believes great design is invisible and that every spacing, color, and transition carries meaning.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain a cohesive design system and component library
Create high-fidelity UI mockups, prototypes, and interactive flows
Translate product requirements into clean, intuitive, and accessible interfaces
Collaborate closely with developers to ensure faithful implementation of designs
Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability findings, and product goals
Ensure visual consistency across all touchpoints of the platform
Stay current with UI design trends, tools, and accessibility best practices

Requirements

Strong portfolio demonstrating UI design work for web or mobile applications
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar
Understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and design tokens
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a user-centered mindset
Ability to work independently and iterate based on feedback

What You'll Gain

Equity participation in a growing AI-powered startup
Ownership of the visual identity and design system from day one
Direct collaboration with founders, engineers, and product leads
Real-world experience designing for AI-driven products
Flexible remote work environment
Portfolio-building work that ships to real users
Potential transition into a paid long-term role as the company scales

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a designer who obsesses over the details — someone who understands that every pixel communicates trust. The ideal candidate is curious about how design shapes behavior and eager to build interfaces that make self-knowledge feel effortless and beautiful.
